Infant physical therapy and bodywork is a gentle, individualized, hands-on and movement-based approach designed to support an infant's comfort, postural alignment, symmetrical movement, and functional development.
Our pediatric physical therapist evaluates and addresses musculoskeletal tension, movement restrictions, and asymmetrical movement patterns that may affect an infant's ability to comfortably participate in feeding, positioning, tummy time, play, and early motor skill development.
Through gentle manual techniques, therapeutic movement, positioning strategies, and caregiver education, we help infants build the foundational movement skills needed to explore their world.
When appropriate, we collaborate with speech-language pathologists, lactation professionals, and other healthcare providers to support the whole infant and their functional needs.
Your baby may struggle with any of the following, and a PT evaluation may help:
Head control and postural development
Gross motor skill development
Upper-extremity use and bilateral coordination
Cranial and facial symmetry
Feeding and oral-motor function
Sensory exploration and environmental interaction
Is your baby or toddler having a harder time reaching gross motor milestones?
Our Flight Physical Therapist can help support your child’s development through the important journey from:
SITTING → CRAWLING → STANDING → WALKING
We work with infants and toddlers who may be experiencing:
• Delayed gross motor milestones
• Difficulty with sitting or transitioning between positions
• Crawling challenges
• Body tension or asymmetry
• Torticollis or positional preferences
• Difficulty pulling to stand or cruising
• Delayed independent walking
• Strength, balance, or coordination concerns
We look at the whole movement pattern and help build the foundational strength, mobility, coordination, and confidence needed for the next step.
